NACHI-FUJIKOSHI CORP. was founded in Toyama City in 1928 based upon the strong belief of its founder, Kohki Imura that "Self-reliance in the field of machine tools is the very foundation of the growth of industry in Japan."
Striving for the highest levels of quality, NACHI-FUJIKOSHI started producing a high-quality, specializes steel in 1938 and established an integrated manufacturing system, which started from the materials needed for making tools. The Company expanded latent technical needs and progressed into the fields of bearings and machine tools, with a view to expand its business in other strategic directions as a developer of advanced technology.

The Company then branched out into the field of hydraulic equipment and robotics, and currently, is venturing into the field of ultra-precision machining, industrial furnaces, and coating-related products. The Company offers distinctive products, technologies, and services, which impact processes from basic materials down to final product manufacturing. These range from machining, essential components, and robot systems to materials, heat treatment, engineering and maintenance. The Company is also developing businesses that are directly connected to users in the major world markets of automobiles, construction, industrial machinery, electrics, and electronics.

6,150 people in 46 companies are engaged in business with the NACHI Group now. As for overseas business, the Company established sales bases in the 1950s and started producing abroad in the 1970s. Since then, it has expanded is manufacturing and sales in the Americas, Europe and Asia offices to establish an international presence. Presently, 31% of our business is overseas with 38 offices, which includes 11 sales companies and 9 manufacturing plants employing 1,170 people.

Domestically, the NACHI Group companies are comprised of 25 companies and have 1,820 employees in the fields of sales, production, information and transportation.
We are planning the development of efficient production and sales activities through the enhancement of group management.

Entering a new century, the NACHI Group is strengthening its business structure based on the concept of "Prospective Selection and Integration" in order to establish a foothold in global product manufacturing and to assure continuous growth and a stable earning base.
We have selected the products based upon three viewpoints: development towards the global market; international competitiveness; and the NACHI Group's business synergy. We have built new business strategies based upon prioritizing competitiveness and business fundamentals and are promoting inter-corporate cooperation to utilize management resources effectively and to increase the speed of decisions.
