Thermally stable structure specifically designed to machine large-sized light guide plate molds
- The stable, symmetrical structure is designed to ensure the highest precision even when accommodating the large sizes.
Slide characterized by precision straightness, remarkably deterioration free
- Hydrostatic bearings are used for all X, Y, and Z-axes intersecting at right angles. The absolute straightness and excellent vibration attenuation results in exceptionally uniform and stable mirror finishes. A non-contact structure is utilized to completely eliminate any deterioration of precision.
Extraordinarily accurate 12m/min high-speed feed rate
- The X-axis is driven by a core-less type linear motor that provides the high speed feed rate necessary for the planing operation. Even at such high speeds, utmost precision is maintained when combined with the hydrostatic slide process.
Ultra-precise control of tool position
- A hydrostatic screw controls tool position in the incredibly minute units of nanometers. Meticulous control of tool angle is provided by a tool holder situated on the A-axis of the hydrostatic structure. This is extremely effective in the machining process where the prism angle is changed for each groove.
